I've tried to understand. I went as far as looking for references and allusions. Could someone please elaborate on it? I'm assuming either most of it got deleted, or it is a case of deja vu... |

The text is actually monsters. There's a 'd' right above him, and it's attacking...it wasn't that funny, IMHO. |

I stay away from the top of the screen for exactly this reason.
I read my email only occasionally, is it because I hate to see an @ near so many monsters? |

LOL. That's actually pretty clever, but it could have been made a bit more obvious. |

...Maybe if the other monsters had moved in the second panel? |

Yes, if the can bite, then some of the other monsters should also be able to move toward Dudley. |

Clever but I agree, the monsters should have moved. Shows how hard it is to make these comics lol. Once you think you are done, show it to a friend and see if he gets it. Funny Dion didn't comment on it (he always commented on but that probably only shows my defiency). |

Murph Istare's explanation would make sense OTHERWISE, but the "You die..." in the first picture.. |

There wouldn't be game text on the same row as part of the map. |

Now that I understand the comic, I was able to get a smile of it. This is proof that you have to make sure that the joke is obvious, or at least not |

I think the idea is that "You die..." is part of the map, but "The bites!" is a message which covers up that line. |

Wait, does the message line ever cover part of the map, though? I thought it had a row or two all to itself. |

"The bites!" is clearly a message covering the "You die..." monsters-spaces

I don't recall "The Bites" ever covering the map. Is this possible? |

Also, instead of an ellipse, the dots really should continue across the top of the screen. And there should be dots in between the words. But then, that would alter, subtly, the nature of the joke, IMO. |

That's simultaneously stupid-funny and stupid-psychotic. I'm not sure which I agree with. |

Does this mean that no bites him since it was on the same line as "You die..."? |
