Hey now, my legs work very well, thank you.
Oh, and it's mostly a complexity issue; B-Trees are great when you have truely colossal amounts of data to sort through. With the number of items Nethack is expected to deal with? Pretty much a non-issue... especially as most the time you'll be either working with an item currently in inventory (limited to 52 items due to the menu system) or you'll want to be looking through everything from beginning to some arbitrary point anyway, so the linked list structure is just fine. |

I don't get it much. I suppose if I got what it meant, I'd like it, so I'm not going to vote. Also, you missed saying that the # was also a sink and a , as well as a corridor and a . |

The #'s are pretty clearly trees, since Dudley's on a recognizable minetown level.
I guess there could be some ambituity with the a's, but it's a pretty straightforward pun. |

Very programmer specific which is clearly indicated by the no clue/excellent votes lol. Since there are code-specific joke threads in rgrn too ok for this time :) |
