The priestess of
MarsThe god of war, and one of the most prominent and worshipped
gods. In early Roman history he was a god of spring, growth in
nature, and fertility, and the protector of cattle. Mars is
also mentioned as a chthonic god (earth-god) and this could
explain why he became a god of death and finally a god of war.
He is the son of Jupiter and Juno.

The Olog-HaiBut at the end of the Third Age a troll-race not before seen
appeared in southern Mirkwood and in the mountain borders of
Mordor. Olog-hai they were called in the Black Speech. That
Sauron bred them none doubted, though from what stock was not
known. Some held that they were not Trolls but giant Orcs;
but the Olog-hai were in fashion of body and mind quite unlike
even the largest of Orc-kind, whom they far surpassed in size
and power. Trolls they were, but filled with the evil will
of their master: a fell race, strong, agile, fierce and
cunning, but harder than stone. Unlike the older race of the
Twilight they could endure the Sun.... They spoke little,
and the only tongue they knew was the Black Speech of Barad-dur.

The Minetown temple operates a huge scam! I give all of my money to the priestess, but nothing happens. Supposedly I need to not level up so much before I get there, but I do have to fight the newts. The priestess of MarsThe god of war, and one of the most prominent and worshipped

deserved it. Fido is smart; I always rely on my pets (except the ones that trigger boulderI worked the lever well under, and stretched my back; the end
of the stone rose up, and I kicked the fulcrum under. Then,
when I was going to bear down, I remembered there was
something to get out from below; when I let go of the lever,
the stone would fall again. I sat down to think, on the root
of the oak tree; and, seeing it stand about the ground, I saw
my way. It was lucky I had brought a longer lever. It would
just reach to wedge under the oak root.
Bearing it down so far would have been easy for a heavy man,
but was a hard fight for me. But this time I meant to do it
if it killed me, because I knew it could be done. Twice I
got it nearly there, and twice the weight bore it up again;
but when I flung myself on it the third time, I heard in my
ears the sea-sound of Poseidon. Then I knew this time I
would do it; and so I did.

Its time to rewrite the spoilers... (1) As soon as you start the game, go to Minetown but do not level up. (2) Give your money in 100 zorkmidA metal of characteristic yellow colour, the most precious

It is quite unalterable by heat, moisture, and most
corrosive agents, and therefore well suited for its use in

Water, water, everywhere
Nor any drop to drink.

to recap, today's punchline was: the character scolding his pet in a completely plain manner.

I really don't like the way the messages keep switching between in-frame and out-of-frame. The rule is one or the other, and breaking it denotes very bad style.

Also:
Traps never appear in special rooms,
Fido is never referred to as "the Olog-haiBut at the end of the Third Age a troll-race not before seen

You guys need to chill. Especially you Nameless. If you don't like the comic, write a better one. If you can't, enjoy what you get. And if you don't enjoy it and can't do better, don't read the comic.
Nameless, maybe it's just me but it seems you call every comic not written by you as humorless and inferior. At least they are contributing and keeping the whole site alive. Again, you don't like it, write some of your own.

I have no problem with text in both places. Trimming it to a "perfect" understandable comic takes far too long. And we aren't that professional here (yet :-). More text might (or might not) make it more understandable to newbies.
Besides, I got my biggest laugh out of the comment "Based on a true story.".
