Remember: It's not the destination that's important, it's the journey.
So what now? (hmm...)
From the makers of Dudley's dungeon, Dion Nicolaas presents Nathan's Nethack!
Dudley's back, and more -hardy than every before... Dudley's Dungeon 2: The nudist.
One day in the demigod bar, Dudley became drunk and accepted a stupid chalange, that would return him to the world he hated so much... New adventures! New monsters! New excitment! New dungeons! Dudley's Dungeon 2: ADOM
...or maybe not. I'll just leave now (proceeds to do so). |

I'm really starting to think that somewhere in here there must be a that's going to do away with Dudley. Maybe the only reason he ascended is that Yeldud wants to make the deal as nasty as it can get. Maybe Yeldud himself will polymorph into a . |

: I am your brother Yeldud.
@ NOOOOO!!!!!!
: Come to the -side and together we will rule NetHack.
@ I will never follow the evil ways of the Newts.
: But what about the evil ways of your brother?
@ You can't be my brother. Yeldud died years ago.
: Who says?
@ A tame told me.
: You have been decieved, my brother.
@ Have not!
: Have too!
@ Have not!
The zaps a unpolymorph and returns to wizzard form. Yeldud zaps a return-dudley-to-level-one, Dudley feels level-less. Yeldud zaps a push-dudley-down-the-stairs, Dudley falls down the stairs to the Dungeons of Doom, lvl 1.
Just more of my randomness. ;) |

I was thinking the same thing myself... what would I do without my (week)dayly dose of Dudley?
And BTW Violist I think ADOM would be more interesting since it has many different features and quests than Nethack (so many more jokes) and I think from memmory Dudley has done some SLASH'EM jokes before. Still, each to his (or her) own. |

There are a few things we can do, fellow geeks. Either we can take this like men (or women in a few cases) and resign ourselves to the loss, or we can petition Dion to resume this vital comic, or we can attempt to make our own...
I vote we ask Dion nicely to make more, with a second option on make our own. |

We are trying to move this to the RGRN forum now. Google for "The end of Dudley?" with a date of "03 Feb 2005".
That would leave the rest of this forum free for a long list of simple and plain "Thanks". No good job etc. Just one simple thanks. All 2412 of them.

If this really is the end then I will weep for Dudley. Life is empty without him.
But there is a chance that Dion went on vacation and forgot to tell us. Or he could be playing a mean trick on us (My other webcomic did that a few days ago). And there's always a chance that his computer died and he'll be back in a few days.
This sort of seems like and extended version of what happened on November 8th, 2004. (You try to read monday's cartoon. You try to read monday's cartoon. You try to read monday's cartoon.) |
