Technically, the would bite Dudley.
Not rated yet, because I'm waiting for other people's input on this one. |

Anyone know how many hit points a has? I'm pretty sure I've always been able to kill them in one hit, no matter what weapon I am wielding (-7 cursed , even). |

Judging by wizmode, cursed of create monster and a stethoscope, usually 2 HP with sometimes 1,3 or 4, and 8 AC. |

The same species of monster can have different numbers of hit points. HP are determined dynamically based on the monster's Hit Dice (akin to level); different specimens can have different HD, and even the same HD can produce different amounts of HP for different individuals.
Newts have 0 HD base. This is an exception to the normal HP formual, but it appears (to my untrained eyes, at least) that HD 0 monsters can have from 1 to 4 HP. Thus, that will be true for newts, unless their HD has been bumped up (perhaps due to dungeon depth or the hero's level).

The reason I asked is because Dudley hits the , but the survives the attack. That means the had at least 2 HP and Dudley only did 1 point of damage.
Dudley must have had negative strength or something. |
