That would be "how normal".
Also, it should be "killed by a disintegration blast" or "disintegrated by a disintegration blast" or something, not "killed by a black ."
I guess it's still funny, so...fair. |

Wellan: black dragons bite too, you know. He might very well be bitten to instead of disintegrated so the gravestone is perfectly fine.

Yeah, but the whole reason there wasn't anything there was that the black disintegrated Dudley and his gear. If he was bitten to , the joke makes no sense... |

Huh? I thought it was excellent. I think the joke lies in the fact that it's kinda a prophecy, a future event about to happen, Dudley just doesn't know it yet :). |

For some reason, the former incarnation of Dudley didn't die of the disintegration attack that destroyed his inventory. THEN the black bit him to .. |

I had assumed what Eskimo said. I suppose if it had said "killed by a disintegration blast", the idea that he's standing in a hole -- which will become his -- is redundant, in that there will be nothing to bury if he is disintegrated. So even though I think both versions work, I guess it was what Eskimo said that was intended?
Pedantry over. |

Eskimo's right. There's nothing there because the hasn't happened yet. Probably should've double-checked the whole breath weapon thing, but whatcha gonna do? |

Apparently no one noticed the appear in panel 2, which is what the "... But there's nothing here." was referring to. You know... the absence of the that killed Dudley? Which appeared in panel 2? See how the joke works when you pay attention? |
