A strange (though slightly amusing) cartoon, with a 1-comment-ever-posted reply with a link to a different webcomic, smells like advertisement to me...

I'm feeling mildly nauseated. I can barely stand the samuraiBy that time, Narahara had already slipped his arm from the sleeve of his outer robe, drew out his two-and-a-half-foot Fujiwara Tadahiro sword, and, brandishing it over his head, began barreling toward the foreigners. In less than a minute, he had charged upon them and cut one of them through the torso. The man fled, clutching his bulging guts, finally to fall from his horse at the foot of a pine tree about a thousand yards away. Kaeda Takeji finished him off. The other two Englishmen were severely wounded as they tried to flee. Only the woman managed to escape virtually unscathed. All I good at is... laff at this fine comic! The only thing that kept it from an E rating was just taking the idea further in some additional clever way. But as a one-panel strip, it's quite G enough.

I agree with Slowpoke. And what's wrong with anime crap? I mean, it's kind of the same as having kitschy furniture in your house - tacky, but amusing under the right circumstances.

I like the comic, personally, but the reference is in ill taste; I would not have assumed that Nethackers would be familiar with/appreciate Megatokyo, generally speaking. (I am, but I wouldn't presume others to be the same.) Ergo, I think the comic E, but lack of foresight on the part of the author demotes it to G.

Well, at least he actually SAID "Megatokyo", instead of leaving the reader to figure out what context to place this in.
