The rabid ratRats are long-tailed rodents. They are aggressive,
omnivorous, and adaptable, often carrying diseases.

"The rat," said O'Brien, still addressing his invisible
audience, "although a rodent, is carnivorous. You are aware
of that. You will have heard of the things that happen in
the poor quarters of this town. In some streets a woman dare
not leave her baby alone in the house, even for five minutes.
The rats are certain to attack it. Within quite a small time
they will strip it to the bones. They also attack sick or
dying people. They show astonishing intelligence in knowing
when a human being is helpless."

bites! The koboldThe race of kobolds are reputed to be an artificial creation
of a master wizard (demi-god?). They are about 3' tall with
a vaguely dog-like face. They bear a violent dislike of the
Elven race, and will go out of their way to cause trouble
for Elves at any time.

hits! The hobbitHobbits are an unobtrusive but very ancient people, more
numerous formerly than they are today; for they love peace
and quiet and good tilled earth: a well-ordered and well-
farmed countryside was their favourite haunt. They do not
and did not understand or like machines more complicated
than a forge-bellows, a water-mill, or a handloom, although
they were skillful with tools. Even in ancient days they
were, as a rule, shy of "the Big Folk", as they call us, and
now they avoid us with dismay and are becoming hard to find.

wields a daggerIs this a dagger which I see before me,
The handle toward my hand? Come, let me clutch thee.
I have thee not, and yet I see thee still.
Art thou not, fatal vision, sensible
To feeling as to sight? or art thou but
A dagger of the mind, a false creation,
Proceeding from the heat-oppressed brain?
I see thee yet, in form as palpable
As this which now I draw.

To submit a note or rating, you'll have to answer this question correctly. If you can't, you can only preview your note, and your rating will be discarded.

But if you turn on the "Preview" checkbox and answer the question, the comic is still rated, even though I am only (trying) previewing my comment! Also, previewing comments is still broken. Am I the only one who still tries to preview comments before posting them?

Kernigh, what goes wrong when previewing? I can use preview without any problems.
Rating a comic does not require you to uncheck the preview box, it will just happen.
One more thing: Everyone can rate only once, so if you don't enter a name your rating will overwrite that of the previous person who didn't enter a name.

This one's pretty good. I like the idea of a voting system, too.
btw, preview didn't work for me. I submitted, and it counted my vote without showing me my preview, and also removed my text from the input box. It also changed my security question without registering my answer.

Hmm, I could have sworn I turned the preview option off before clicking this second time. Now I see my preview and again have to work out the security question.

I can see how the rating system is broken...

But does this mean that if I just enter many different names, I can rate many many times? Hope there is only one vote per IP...

Aaaah, now I get it. You both rate and try to preview a note, but the pageThese strange creatures live mostly on the surface of the
earth, gathering together in societies of various forms, but
occasionally a stray will descend into the depths and commit
mayhem among the dungeon residents who, naturally, often
resent the intrusion of such beasts. They are capable of
using weapons and magic, and it is even rumored that the
Wizard of Yendor is a member of this species.

is refreshed because your rating is posted. Fun. I'll fix it.
For now: Just fill in your rating right before you actually submit the note (not previewing), not earlier. As long as there is no rating present, you can preview just fine.

No, see, you either pay your GP or your HP to go to the zoo.

In Nethack, it's your HP.
