The other Dudley is under control of the nethack AI and is immune to accidental key presses.
AI Dudley killed some orcs yesterday. I learned using mode that revived former selves occasionally kill monsters. This is the first case that nethack AI attack AI without the use of a conflict, except for those famous accidents...

According to the source code, tame purple worms will attack tame shriekers. Looking up '' in the NH database contains the logic behind it. |

I predict that the '1' will kill Dudley long before his alternate self even gets there. It'll be another "Here lies Dudley: killed by a while helpless" epigraph. |

So, if you encountered a bones file and killed it again, are you dead? Does its create an alternate reality in which newts get bored (they have nothing to kill) and wipe themselves out, then some necromancer revives Dudley and then he takes over the world (again, no newts)?
